With a knack for capturing moments of invigorating joy and tranquility, photographer Jocelyn Filley has built her career on a mixture of personal portraiture, wedding celebrations, and editorial work. Whether she is photographing with a beloved old film camera or a newer digital one, Jocelyn’s pared-down aesthetic and love of natural light shine through in every image she takes. Her patience and sense of humor are also key ingredients in her work, allowing her to uncover aspects of her subjects that might otherwise remain hidden. Jocelyn received a BA in photojournalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she won awards for her documentary photography. She lives on Martha’s Vineyard with her family.
